The new Grove Public Library, completed in 2004, holds more
than 100,000 books, periodicals,
newspapers, and magazines, and contains a reading room stocked with daily
newspapers. It has dedicated computers for public use, a special children's
section, an expanded genealogy section, and a vast inventory of information
available on microfilm and microfiche. The new design also includes an
expandable section of floor space specifically dedicated to public use
computers. The library also utilizes the Inter-Library Loan System to meet
special book needs.
Some notes on the Grove Public Library’s impressive genealogical collection.
It has holdings on many states and areas of interest to researchers, but emphasizes Delaware County, the nearby four-state area, and the Cherokees. The collection houses the complete Dawes Rolls, genealogical CDS, and extensive census records and indexes such as:

Complete U. S. census records from 1790 through 1820

* The Eastern Oklahoma District Library System serves an area of 230,000 residents, has a collection of 380,000 books and periodicals, 10,500 CDs, records, cassettes, and other audio materials; plus 13,800 video items such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public.
Staffing consists of 60 employees of whom 7 are fully accredited librarians, plus volunteers. The system comprises one central library and 14 branch libraries. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $560,000. Patrons make 780,000 visits annually, and check out materials 1,000,000 times. Thirty-five percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
